Book: Proverbs 26
“Like a fluttering sparrow or a darting swallow, an undeserved curse will not land on its intended victim.”
In the winter we often put a little bird seed out on the railing of our deck so that the birds will come and we can watch them feed. The small birds tend to dart around, hardly staying in one place for very long. As soon as a bigger bird comes close the smaller bird moves on quickly realizing that they cannot compete.
So it is with undeserved comments and curses. For a short period those curses may float around but once the truth is out they will disappear. The best solution for undeserved comments is to be innocent and allow God to deal with them for you.
Goliath shouted out curses in the name of his gods towards David as he came down to fight the giant. I am sure at the time it sounded loud and was said with much emotion but quickly they disappeared along with the Philistines, when God used David to bring Goliath’s life to an end. God looked after David as He will look after you.
Do not allow those negative comments that are undeserved to come out of your mouth nor land on you. What others may say against you that are untrue may “flutter” or “dart” around you but will soon return to the sender.
